A major benefit of the platform is that the Ads can be targeted to a specific audience that is relevant to the business, which makes this more cost-effective when compared to other advertising methods.

Sponsored posts: 

Sponsored posts, also known as boosted posts, appear on the timeline of a business' Facebook page. They can be created by uploading a photo, video or text, as well as adding a link or call-to-action button to direct customers to your business page.

Newsfeed: 

As the subheading suggests, these are Ads that appear on an individual's Facebook feed. You should be aware that the description that accompanies your Ad will only be displayed if it's likely to appeal to the person seeing it.

Messenger:

Ads in Facebook messenger appear in the home tab of the messenger inbox. As reported by Statista, the number of Facebook messenger users on mobile devices is projected to reach 3.21 billion users by the end of 2022.
